Wendell Berlin Snapp

SHELBYVILLE - Snapp, Wendell Berlin 62, of Lexington, KY, died Friday, November 8, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington following a long illness.

A native of Paris, KY, he was the son of the late Nova Berlin Snapp and Minnie Snapp Dotson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a certified nursing assistant in the private duty care field and had worked in the food service industry. In his leisure time, he enjoyed gardening and caring for his animals.

Survivors include his longtime friend, Tony H. Gowin of Lexington; a half sister, Mary Ellen Gaunce of Paris; and a half brother, James William "Billy" Gardner of Xenia, OH.

Cremation was selected in accordance with his wishes. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grove Hill Cemetery in the chapel. Per Wendell's request, it will be a casual affair. Arrangements have been entrusted to Webb Funeral Home.

Because of his love of animals, expressions of sympathy may be made to one's local no kill animal shelter or local humane society.

Tony would like to thank the medical staff at the UK Chandler Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital and express his appreciation for the care and concern shown to Wendell during his hospitalizations.
