William Bruce "Bill" Mattingly

MATTINGLY, WILLIAM "BILL" BRUCE, 69, of Louisville, passed away November 26, 2013.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of IBEW Local 369 and a graduate of Flaget, where he excelled at football. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father and granddad. He will be sorely missed.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Catherine Mattingly; and brother, David Miles Mattingly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Beth Mattingly, with whom he was together for 30 years; son, David Mattingly; grandchildren Kayla and Malorie; siblings, John (Joyce Anne), Maryknoll Sr. Lelia "Dee", Tom (Jennifer) and Curtis (Jane). Bill is also survived by his nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A celebration of Bill's life will be conducted at noon Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2013 at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. the day of the service.
