William E. "Bill" Franklin

LANESVILLE - Franklin, William E. "Bill," 68, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at University Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born in 1945 in Ft. Knox, KY, to the late Earl and Olive Franklin. Bill was a graduate of Manuel High School, class of 1963 and University of Louisville, J.B. Speed School of Engineering, class of 1968. He was a retired mechanical engineer spending his entire career in electronics design and development.

Survivors include wife of 41 years, Lucy Franklin; identical twin brother, Joe Franklin (Pat); numerous cousins; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 and 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the funeral home chapel with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, IN.
