William P. Miller

MILLER, WILLIAM P., 84, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from B.F. Goodrich after 35 years of service.

He was an active parishioner of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church (the old St. Helen's) for 52 years. Bill was a volunteer at St. Anthony's Soup Kitchen for many years. He loved golf, bowling and fishing and traveled extensively with his wife, family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Louise Miller; siblings, Mary Hagge and Gerard and Dennis Miller; and great-grandson, Colton Herberger.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Helen Kannapel Miller; daughters, Michelle Herberger (Dennis), Paula Nelson (Frank), Jacqueline Mansbach (Mark); son, Robert Miller (Marilee); grandchildren, Daniel and Gregory Herberger, Elizabeth Garr, Andrea Yorgy, Adam Nelson, Captain Melanie, Kimberly and Ryan Mansbach and Allison and Paul Miller; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert and Douglas Miller; sisters, Phyllis Stoval, Patricia McShea, Joy Diebold and Kathleen Vegh and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church (St. Helen Campus), 4005 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Avenue at Barret Avenue.
