I met Carol when we were in "Brownies" together with Mrs. Linker as or leader. She was a lovely girl who was the best strutter to "Strut Miss Lizzie" Carol was vibrant and brave through her brain surgeries and after when she adjusted to life with far less vision. We rode the bus to U of L together as "street car buddies" transferring at Eastern Parkway to get to campus everyday. Carol never wanted to "put anybody out," and made her own way through the university. It was a privilege to know her and be a friend. My condolences to her brother and my thoughts are with her closest friends.

So very sorry to learn of Carol's death. We were friends at Hawthorn Elementary and at Seneca. You will be in my thoughts, especially in the coming days.
