I would also like to add my heartfelt sympathies to Nancy and all of Nelson's family and loved ones.

We became buddies through JCNA gatherings and enjoyed many interesting discussions (like scuba diving in Bonaire). For several years Nelson has been a steady, loyal, and dependable force in JCNA ... and lots of fun. Quick with a smile and a laugh, he was a kind and gentle spirit and I will miss him. I'm posting a few pictures of fond memories, and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Nancy & Family: I am still stunned and 'in shock' concerning Nelson's passing. He was very helpful to me always. I first knew of Nelson's work within JCNA as a member of the Nation's Capital Jaguar Owners Club, years before Camellia & I met him when I joined the JCNA Board. He helped innumerable Jaguar club members & enthusiasts over the years and will be deeply missed.
Nelson's participation in our club's 50th Anniversary in 2006 was very meaningful to our members. Nelson and I had many in-depth conversations over the yearsrelated to JCNA events & programs, as well as 'issues of life'; our last conversations very recently while on your "Alaskan cruise'. I will miss Nelson's counsel and friendship. I will always cherish his memory. Our deepest condolences.

In getting to know Nelson through JCNA over the years he has always been a great person to talk with and had a positive attitude towards life and helping to make situations good. He was always easy to get along with and I never heard him complain. He will be missed as a friend. My deepest condolences to Nancy and his family.

To the Nelson Rath family, "Pamela and I offer our deepest condolences". We had the pleasure of knowing both Nelson and Nancy way back BK, before kids, when life sometimes evolved around convertibles, gull wings, and musicals. But then our children's interests sorta led us apart. Yet, since they shared the same birthday, Pamela always called Nelson on that day to check up on family, etc., and to say "hello". Nelson was such a kind, interesting, and fun person to be around. This is such a shock. Take care, David McAlister

I take piano lessons with Mrs. Rath. Every time I would walk into her house I was greeted by this nice, jovial man. He would always let the dog out so me and my sister could pet it before and after lessons while he and my dad talked about the latest events. He was a great man and it was always a pleasure to see him. I speak for my whole family when I say he will be dearly missed. We love you Mrs. Rath and I look forward to our next lesson. I have been taking piano lessons with Mrs. Rath for at least 6 years now. Every Sunday I walk in only to be greeted by this nice, jovial man. He would always let the dog out so me and my sister could play with it before and after lessons, as well as always conversing with our dad about the latest events. I have only fond memories of him as he was a kind hearted, easy going person to me and my family. I speak for my whole family when I say we will miss him dearly. He was great and I will continue to look forward to my lessons on Sunday with Mrs. Rath.
Sincerely, Cameron Buckley

I had the pleasure of working alongside Nelson at JCNA during the first half of this decade. I always found him to be a dedicated, hard working, caring and sincere person who was just plain fun to be around. It certainly helped that he was a car enthusiast like me! He was a great guy and will be missed. My condolences to his family and to his extended family and friends in the car hobby universe.

I don't recall ever having the pleasure of meeting Nelson, though I'm sure I must have over the decades of my involvement with JCNA, He was always friendly and eager to help whenever I contacted him about something official. What a great guy....I'm sure I would have liked him as a neighbor. He will be sadly missed, and my condolences to the family.

I knew Nels for many years. I met him at an JCNA AGM, and we sat ant talked. Later as President of the Jaguar Club of Florida, I worked closely with him. Even further down the line as the Membership Liaison Chair, then the JCOF char and a Board of Directors member, I worked even closer with him. Every time we met in person, we would sit down and talked. I considered him a Friend and I believe he though the same of me. I will miss him\
