I would like to share a memory of Admiral Franklin. I was a newly married Second Lieutenant in flight school (we didn't have two nickels to rub together!), when I got word from my Dad (CAPT Roy Stoddard) that Admiral Franklin, would be in Pensacola for a few days and wanted to take my wife and me to dinner. I was instructed by the Admiral to pick the finest restaurant in town. We met, and the rest of the evening was a whirlwind of fun and excitement! If we couldn't decide on an appetizer, we ordered several. Red or white wine? Both! When it came time for dessert, the Admiral called over our hard working waiter and ordered Flaming Bananas Foster. Can't do that, sir. It's against the Fire Code. I don't think the Admiral was used to hearing the word No as the discussion went on for a few minutes. In the end, we did enjoy our desserts. They were just a little less explosive! Thank you Admiral! God Bless.

For Judy and family we send you our deepest sympathies. Larry was LIFE! We spent many fun times together along with his close buddy DR Ron and he even let me drive his red Ferrari! I look forward to teaming up with him again one day . GOD Bless.

As Larry's first roommate at the Naval Academy, I recall his calm, intelligent characteristics. He managed to remain calm when the upper classmen gave us all a rough time, to strengthen us for tougher times ahead. He was so easy to get along with. Sorry we lived so far apart after graduating from the Academy and after our active Naval days, which hindered us from keeping in touch. But I still remember his fine qualities.

Another legal giant has left us. Larry was in the top echelon of lawyers with trial expertise compared with Frank Haddad and Charlie Leibson. Shoes like those and Larry's have not and will not be filled. They can only be viewed and remembered with awe by those who are knowledgeable of the enormity of their God-given talent.
Larry, it was my honor to have known you and witnessed your talent. My sincere condolences to your family in this time of loss. Rest in Peace, my friend -- a job well done and a life well led.

I would have granted Larry at least 10 more years of life. Sadly, it is not in my power to do so.
