Dear Mrs. Wolford and members of the family. I got to know Mr. Wolford though my wife, Janet Utley Hamiton. Mr. Wolford helped me get started as a CPA by leveragng his relationships at Cotton & Allen to land an internship for me during the summer before my senior year in college. That internship proved invaluable to me in my career at Ernst & Young. Janet and I have been blessed throughout our adult lives made possible in part by the generosity of Mr. Wolford during our college years. The gifts Mr. Wolford gave to us in terms of his time and attention have been paid forward many many times. He was a quiet yet powerful influence on many lives. He will be missed by the Hamilton family.

Beth,
Best wishes at a difficult time. Both your father and grandfather were at the law firm where I clerked after law school. They were remarkable men.

I was shocked to hear this sad, sad news. Please know how fond I was of Dr. Wolford and how much I enjoyed my association with him as staff secretary to the Franklin College Board of Trustees since 1979. I regarded him highly and will miss him -and his kind spirit - greatly. My heartfelt sympathies to Evelyn and the entire Wolford family.
