47, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016. He is survived by his children; D'Andre Payne and Damon W. Cox, Jr.; parents, Linda and Leodis Fields; brother, Jerrod Cox (Kim) and 2 grandsons.
Visitation: 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m -8 p.m. Wednesday at G.C. Williams Funeral Home: Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Baptist Church, 2200 W. Muhammad Ali; Burial in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Damon was my first and only true love. I have so many memories of us and our friends together. I often look at you pictures and wonder, "what we could have become?" I am devastated by this loss and you will forever and always remain in my heart. I will never forget you and that big, beautiful, beautiful smile! Love forever, Melinda. RIP, Big Bull!

Linda, Jerrod & family we go a long way back. I was so shock when I was notified. I was his & Jerrod's one and only babysitter back during the day. We talked often and you have been there for me and my family during our difficult times and I want you to know that if you need me call me. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We love you.
