Glenn Duggins Obituary
58, of Fleming Island, FL passed away November 4, 2016.
He was born in Louisville to the late James and Ruby Carter Duggins. Glenn moved to Florida in 1986 from Louisville. He graduated from the University of Kentucky as well as Old Dominion University. Professionally, Glenn was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and was employed at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville for 20 years. He loved his Harley Davidson and playing the guitar. Favorites of Glenn's were bluegrass music, The Beatles and the band, Heart. Glenn loved to travel, including cruises and camping in his RV, especially in the Great Smoky Mountains and at Fort Wilderness at Disney World. Along with his love for anything Disney, Glenn was a huge fan of Charlie Brown. Glenn also loved celebrating holidays with Halloween and Christmas being his favorites. He loved decorating and even making haunted houses. Glenn was a longtime member of Hibernia Baptist Church.
Mr. Duggins is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rita Kramer Duggins; son, Jason Lewis Duggins; daughters, Melissa Ann Duggins, Ashley Elizabeth (William) Duggins-Frandsen; and Sarah Collette Duggins; sister, Beverly (Gary) Taurman.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Yirka officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
