Windell Jones Obituary
22, passed away January 27, 2016. He was a member of St. Stephen Church. Survivors include his mother, Yolanda Jones; grandfather, Edgar Jones,III; aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at his church, 1018 S. 15th Street with funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday also at the church. Burial will be in the Green Meadows Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to G. C. Williams Funeral Home.

Our sweet Windell..we met at Roxie's not long after they opened. You were like our own kid from day one..we teased and you teased back. We loved and I believe you loved back too. Every time we left, we always left you with a big hug. I spoiled you with homemade cookies and you loved it...Never in a million years did we think that the last time we said goodbye would be our last. To the family of Windell Jones,
My husband and I are from Salt Lake City, Utah. We first met Windell last year about this same time at Roxies while we were in E-Town visiting my mother-in-law. We endured her loss and Windell was there to help us grieve. He (and Madison) showed us a kindness that could only come from a good heart. I remember him coming to stand by us during our time of sorrow to give us strength from a hug and to say sorry. Because of this he will forever be in our minds and in our hearts. It hurts us that he is gone from this world. We so much looked forward to seeing him when we return this year to E-Town and the plans of he and Madison coming out to visit us. Please know, he was easy to love and we did love him. We worried about his recovery from his accident last year and knew he would be okay. He was strong and only good things should have come to him.
Please know you are in our prayers and we will miss Windell.
The many people in this world who will never get to receive the great gifts of Windell like his smile, his laugh, his hugs, his compassion, his caring, or his joy will sadly live with a void they'll never be able to fill.
May you find comfort that God is holding Windell, that he will watch over and care for you during this time.

Windell was a great young man; always respectful; always willing to help. He served as a role model to many of the youth at Saint Stephen and I was glad to have known him. Whenever I invited him into my classes to speak, he always gave the children a good word of encouragement. Windell will be missed. Yolanda, you are in my prayers.
