BRICKZEN, ANN MARIE, 55, of Shelbyville, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2012 with family at her side.

She was born October 16, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of the late Arthur H. Schwichtenberg and Marian Frances Marx Schwichtenberg. She was a graduate of Lester Praire High School in Minnesota and was a member of Middletown United Methodist Church.
It was her passion of horses at a young age that lead her on the road to Kentucky, the Saddlebred Capital of the World, where she has been a resident since 1992. Ann Marie's successful show horse career resulted in 7 World Championships from 1991-2012. She is a member of the American Saddlebred Horse Association and the United States Equestrian Federation.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother, Joel A. Schwichtenberg.
Ann Marie is survived by her two beloved daughters, Faith Chanchal and Carmen Victoria Brickzen of Shelbyville; sister, Linda Schwichtenberg of MN, Thomas J. Schwichtenberg (Jean) and their daughter Kristin of Hawaii and many other loving extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Ann Marie's life will be held noon Friday at Middletown United Methodist Church, 11902 Old Shelbyville Road. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Pearson Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road and after 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorial gifts in the form of contributions may be made to Middletown United Methodist Church or the American Saddlebred Museum.
