RAAP, ARTHUR N. "BUD," 82, of Louisville, died on Friday, December 28, 2012 at his home.

Born in Chicago, IL, he was a graduate of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, St. Xavier High School and attended Bellarmine College. Bud was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War, retired owner/operator of Bud and Dick's Marathon and a member of SARAFUN at his church, St. Raphael the Archangel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Agnes Raap.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan Miller Raap; his children, Teresa Kamer (Charlie), Karen Daniels (Rick), Cynthia Goldsmith (Larry), John A. Raap (Charla) and Paul A. Raap (Laura); grandchildren, Kristin, Greg, Elizabeth, Nick, Maygan, Kurt, Brent, Alexander, Alex and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Avi, Lilly, Evan, Inara and Will; and sisters, June Buchart and Joyce Constantine His funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Monday, December 31, 2012 at St. Raphael, Bardstown Rd., at Lancashire Ave., with entombment to follow in Resthaven. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
