Dear family,
I met Billie Ed several months ago at Oxmoor Lodge , working with her as her physical therapist. What a joy she was to work with! I loved hearing about her walking travels over the years. I am thankful I had the blessing of meeting her and pray for God to draw each of you near and give you joy in Him even in this time of sadness

I have many fond memories of walking with Billie Ed. She was a lot of fun.
I first met her Through Pat O'Conner at a volkswalk convention in Oregon about 20 years ago.
Whenever I was at my daughter's in Louisville, we always got together. On my last visit we were able to meet about half way between our places at the firehouse on Frankfort Avenue. After a pleasant visit on the bench outside, we returned to our homes.

Barbie, Natalie and Blake, Your mother attended the first meeting of the Derby City Walkers in 1991 and I soon became good friends with her. We went on some fantastic trips across the country and lots of great weekend walks in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Billie Ed was a lot of fun to be around and she enjoyed helping folks so much. I miss being with her on the walking path. Thank you Billie Ed for all the great memories.

Barbie & all the family: I don't know what to say other than what a great person Billie Ed was and she will be missed but we will see her again soon. I think she and my Mom may be up there comparing notes again which usually meant Barbie and I were in trouble again :)
I am so glad we "found" each other again, Barbie! My love, hugs, prayers and condolences to all that knew and loved Billie or as I still called her Ms. Harris.
