Donald Parsons Obituary

PARSONS, DONALD ALAN, 56, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010.

He was CFO of Q Trucking in Allentown, PA. He was also a master mechanic with BMW Motorcycles and all small engines. An amateur naturalist and herpetologist. A small arms specialist and enthusiast. He was founder of BBC Dart League, and a National Merit Scholar. He was also an expert home brewer and beer aficionado.

Don is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Unglaub Parsons.

He is survived by his father, Gordon Parsons.

His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Highlands.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Baptist East Palliative Care.

Don frequented the Public House on Saturday afternoons, and just last week, aware that the end was near, he donated his beer bottle collection for use in Leticia Bajuyo's New Albany Bicentennial Public Art project sculpture. He was a friend to beer, and I'll miss him very much.
