McGLASSON, DONALD GENE SR., 74, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father Monday, March 3, 2014.
Mr. McGlasson was a retiree of International Harvester and was a member of Bullitt Lick Baptist Church.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents, William Hugo Brian Sr., and Georgia McGlasson Brian; brother, Bill Brian, Jr.; uncle and aunt, Lee E. and Elnora Howlett and uncle, Otto "Buck" McGlasson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Helen McGlasson; sons, Steven McGlasson and Donald McGlasson, Jr. (Angela); granddaughters, Ragan and Rachel McGlasson; sisters, Linda Pearson and Jeanette Conliffe; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Friday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy., at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates.

I am so sorry about Don. I just heard tonight or I would have been there. I will miss him so much especially when I return to work. He was my wildcat buddy! I can't believe I will not be seeing him again! You are all in my prayers. Don Jr. I will be back at the bank and see you in April.

I didn't know Donnie, but love his two sisters, Linda and Jeanette, so if he was anything like them, I know I'd love him too! I am so sorry for your loss.

Donnie you will be missed. I'm extremely pleased that i got to know you over the last 24 years. You were a great man who always had a kind word. You treated me like one of your nephews and I love you for that.
