Edward Ray "Eddie" Adams Obituary
ADAMS, EDWARD "EDDIE" RAY, of Valley Station passed away at home with his loving family at his side on Thursday October 28, 2010.

He was in the Army Reserves, and a member of AMVETS post #61. He was employed at BF Goodrich Geon & Oxy. He belonged to Local #502 and he was an Honorable Kentucky Colonel.

Eddie loved his music, playing his guitar and singing to his grandchildren. His sense of humor was very special, he never met a stranger. He always had a joke to tell and his sense of humor kept him going through his long battle of brain cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor R. and Juanita Adams; brother, William Battle, Nephew; Mark Smith; and his favorite uncle, Don Lucas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Manning-Adams; daughter, Jennifer Aldridge (Kenny); and adopted son, George LeeRoy Manning (Beth); grandchildren, Cora Adams, Kara Aldridge, Skylar, Lexie and Anthony Manning; brothers, Forrest Lee Adams (Janice), Victor Scott Adams; sisters, Judy McLaughlin (Mac), Barbara McClure (Gene); special niece, Robbie Simon; many loving nieces and nephews; his extended family, many friends; and his loving dog, Molly.

Thanks Aunt Jeanner for all your loving support and a very special thanks to Hosparus of Louisville for the care and support.

His funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Heady-Hardy funeral home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. on Monday. Cremation will follow services. For additional information please visit us at
