Judi and Dee, I am so sorry about the loss of your father. I had every intention of coming to the funeral home with Ray and Mary Ann. Unfortunately, my dog went into a siezure and couldn't come out of it. I had to get my son home from work to get him into the car and to the vet. They had to keep him until 8 PM at which time I was able to pick him up again. I'm so sorry I wasn't there personally to express my condolences. Ann

Dear Voll Family,
May the emptiness in your hearts soon be replaced by comforting memories and profound thanksgiving for having had such a blessed man as husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
It was my pleasure to have had "Uncle Gene" in my life. Some of my early memories were of him generously taking the pets that outgrew our city home. He took over raising of numerous ducks, chickens, and rabbits. I know my Dad, George, appreciated not having to have 2 little girls "bellyaching" for weeks about having to give up their pets. Uncle Gene assured my sister, Debbie, and me that our pets would be loved and well cared for, and I am sure they were!
There are later memories of Uncle Gene and Aunt Kate at our house or theirs playing cards. Oh, how my parents enjoyed sharing an evening of laughter, commadraderie and "spreading the wealth around".
I would be remiss not to mention that even closer at heart, I remember that Uncle Gene ALWAYS treated me kindly - even as a kid, and he was fun to be around. I look forward to connecting with him again in Heaven!
May God bless each of you.
With deepest sympathy.
