ABELL, EVELYN, 99, of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at her residence, the Forum at Brookside.

Born in Springfield, KY, the former Evelyn Rogers, was a retired clerk from the Census Bureau, and an excellent seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Elmo Abell, Sr.; son, Eddie Frank Abell; brother, Charles Rogers; and parents, Myrtle Pope Rogers and Jonas Paulin Rogers.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Betty A. Stover (Frank), Carol A. Cutsinger and Austin E. Abell (Peggy); six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bardstown, KY. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at Highlands.
