Cummings, Flora Kurtz,
88, entered into the Lord's rest peacefully on Monday August 18, 2014.
Flora filled her life as wife, homemaker and mother. She owned and ran Art and Crafts of Jeffersontown; worked as activity director at the Masonic Homes of Kentucky for 17 years, volunteered seven years at the Jeffersontown Historical Museum and was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William E. Cummings.
She leaves behind five daughters, Elizabeth Carter (Chuck), Allison Cummings, Connie Martin (Barry), Eva Zarley (Vic) and Sue Lange (Roger). She is also survived by brother Tom Kurtz (Joyce); 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday.
