Frederick K. Cressman M.D. Obituary
CRESSMAN, FREDERICK K. M.D., died Sunday January 10, 2010.

A pathologist, Frederick K. Cressman was a native of Pennsylvania, attended college at Amherst followed by medical school at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and completed his pathology residency at John Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore. In Louisville he had a successful career as Chief of Pathology at Audubon Hospital. He retired in 1999.

Dr. Cressman committed much of his life to making the world a better and more beautiful place. He and his wife have been long-time supporters of both the Speed Art Museum and the University of Louisville, most recently given a $10 million dollar pledge to the Speed Art Museum's upcoming renovation and expansion project. They established the Cressman Center for Visual Arts in 2007.

He has been an active member of Second Presbyterian Church for years where he was a Stephen Minister and a member of the Library Committee.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Dr. Elizabeth Pahk Cressman; and is also survived by his cousin, Mrs. William (Kathleen) Delcamp of Pennsylvania.

Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church 3701 Old Brownsboro Road with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery and a reception at the church following graveside services. Visitation will be Friday 1-8 p.m. at Pearson's 149 Breckenridge Lane.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Library at Second Presbyterian Church.
