CAREY, JACK M., 92, of Louisville, passed away at home Friday, May 10, 2013.
He was the son of the late Martin and Rosalie Kiel Carey. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, retired supervisor for testing at American Air Filter, a 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Spaulding Council and Archbishop Floersh (charter member), former state of Kentucky General Programs director for the Knights of Columbus, two time President of the American Air Filter Management Club, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and an awesome grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Helen Doyle, Marian Senn and Geraldine Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Goodman Carey; a daughter, Janice Watts (J. Dennis Sr.); two grandsons, John Dennis Watts Jr. and Carey Travis Watts; a sister, Rita Sheridan, and a brother, Norbert Carey (Geneva).
Jack's funeral Mass will be noon Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1406 E. Washington St., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road "in St. Matthews." Memorial gifts in Jack's memory may be made to Mass of the Air.
