WIN'E, JAMES NORBERT SR., 83, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Baptist Health.

Jim was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the U. S. Navy, having served in Korea and Viet Nam. He was also a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus in the Monsignor Bouchet Assembly, a member of the Knights of Columbus Assumption Council 4473, PRD of the Order of Alhambra, a member of the Fleet Reserve Association #177, American Legion Highland Post 201 and a former associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police #14.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred A. and Anna Mary Stauble Win'e; brothers, Gilbert, Anthony, Virgil and Fredrick Win'e; and sisters, Delores Wood and Laverne Win'e Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ann Marie Horwitz Win'e; a son, James Norbert Win'e, Jr.; brother, Gervase Win'e; sister-in-law, Mary Win'e; a niece and nephew, Mike and Sonia Win'e; as well as other extended family members.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, KY. Visitation will be 2-8 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. The Knights of Columbus Assumption Council will be saying the rosary at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
