WOODS, JAMES RAY, 65, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Hospice Unit of Veterans Hospital.
James lived his professional life in Royal Oak, MI, where he was an elementary school teacher and owner of JRWoods Associates, an executive recruiting agency. He also acted and directed in Royal Oak Community Theatre and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Royal Oak.
James was preceded in death by his mother's brother, Charles "Jeep" Quire and is survived by his mother, Patricia Hall (Donald Hall) and her sister, Barbara Qualls (James Lievre); his four siblings, Michael Hall (Susan), Deborah Marshall (Michael), Steven Hall (Ellen) and Barbara Hall; nieces and nephews; and a daughter, Courtney Woods, of Florida.
James' family thanks the doctors, nurses and staff of the Hospice Unit at Veterans Hospital, especially Dr. Stacie Mandrola.
A memorial will be held June 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Masonic Homes Chapel honoring James' life and his service in the Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. He will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
