Obituary Condolences

DISSELL, JAMES SCARBOROUGH, 89, of Louisville, died peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at The Episcopal Church Home.

Dad graduated from Williams College, and served in the US Marine Corps during World War II and The Korean Conflict, and was a retired insurance agent. His love of acting was highlighted with his role as a hood in the 1975 motion picture "Sheba, Baby" when he said, machine gun in hand, "Okay boys, let's redecorate the place".

He was preceded in death by his parents James F. Dissell and the former Helen Brace Scarborough.

Dad is survived by his children, Rick (Cathy), Peggy, Donn (Debi) and Andy (Patty); special friend, Mary Ann Johnson; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and loving friends.

The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff at The Episcopal Church Home, and the caregivers from Home Instead for their service and compassion.

Per Dad's wishes, his body was bequeathed to University of Louisville Department of Anatomical Services. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Chapel of The Episcopal Church Home at a future date. Interment will be private.
