Jean Peoples Obituary

NEW ALBANY - Peoples, Jean L. (Murray), 89, passed away on Friday afternoon, August 19, 2011 at her residence.

She truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially when they would go camping.

Jean was born on April 22, 1922 in Toledo, OH to the late John and June (Eckert) Murray. She was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Jyllian.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Don E. Peoples; children, Laurel L. Gariepy (David), of Warner Robins, GA and Timothy E. Peoples (Julie), of New Albany; grandchildren, Stephen Gariepy, Sarah Quick, Stacy Allen and Erica Malloch; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday. Her funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Paul F. Kraft Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Contributions in Jean's memory may be made to the Galilean Children's Home, P.O. Box 880, Liberty, KY 42539.
