BODENBENDER, MARY AGNES LENTZ, 96, of St. Matthews, passed into eternal life on September 28, 2012.

She was born May 25, 1916 to beloved parents Otto William and Minnie Madeline Lentz.
On August 5, 1941 she married John Edward Bodenbender, Sr. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church who loved and adored her for 55 years until he made his journey to God's arms, where she has now joined him.
Most everyone knows her as "Grandma" as this was her greatest joy in life to take care of, feed, nurture and love everyone she could. She loved her life and especially having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knocking on her door to come and visit.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Joseph, and Robert Lentz and her grandson, Scott Maddux.
She leaves her loving children, John E. Bodenbender Jr. (Mary), of Lexington KY and Linda K. Maddux (George), of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, John Anthony, John Andrew, and Michael Thomas Bodenbender and Deborah Duet, Mary Lynn Anthony and Pamela Brooks; siblings, Mary Catherine Hurst, Jim B. Lentz and Joan Tunstall; 10 precious great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and her loving dog of 13 years, Chester.
Her funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Lane with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road.
