In 1995, she was the recipient of the first Oldham County Business and Professional Women's Woman of Achievement Award. She also served as director of the Oldham County Historical Society and the Crestwood Merchants Association, and was co-chair of the Oldham Metro United Way campaign. She was a member of Crestwood United Methodist Church.
