COLSTON, NOTICE JR., born July 23, 1932, died peacefully April 18, 2013 at home with his little beauty by his side. Anyone who knew Notice, knew that his little beauty was his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Almettie.

Mr. Colston was a prominent builder and developer who was one of the first in the Louisville area to develop condominiums such as Royal Ambassador, Coach Gate, Spindlewick and Royal Oaks. He was a member of the Home Builders Association, and served in the Korean War in the U.S. Army To receive him in heaven is his mother, Carrie Lee Colston; two brothers, Quentin and Samuel Colston; daughter, Gail Murphy; daughter-in-law, Charlene Colston; and his in-laws, Otis and Eskie Mullins.
Those left to mourn him are his beloved wife, Almettie; daughters, Vicky Saling (Robert), and Kristina Colston Schad (Parke); son, Tim Colston; son-in-law, Johnny Murphy; and grandchildren, Sean and Joshua Murphy, Janet Colston, Ian, Aidan, and Avery Schad and James and Jenna Saling.
Funeral service: noon Monday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Pearson's.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus in memory of Mr. Colston.
