CIANCIOLA, PHILIP, 79, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012.

Born in New York, Philip was retired from the United States Post Office. He was an Army veteran, and a member of St. Michael Orthodox Church, where he sang in the church choir. Phil was a big fan of the New York Yankees and coached Little League Baseball here for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gloria Deeb Cianciola; children, Michelle (Monte) Sansbury and Phil Cianciola; grandchildren, Andrew (Kim Boyd) Tullbane, Robert Tullbane, Chance Cianciola, Emily (Josh Brown) Sansbury and Matt (Tami) Sansbury; great-grandchildren, Ty, Tucker and Kayden Sansbury; his sister, Sandy (Ed) Dawson; a brother, Junie Cianciola; sisters-in-law, Florence Owen and Rochelle (Floyd) Sumner and a brother-in-law, Sammy Deeb.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Orthodox Church, at the corner of Hikes Lane and Furman Boulevard, where Trisagion Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial following in Cave Hill Cemetery.
