NEW ALBANY - LaDuke, Robert L., 87, passed away Wednesday May 8, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Del Ray Beach, FL, was a 1942 graduate of New Salisbury High School and retired from International Harvestor. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1693, the American Legion Post #28, the DePauw Masonic Lodge #338 F & AM and attended the Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II after having enlisted at the age of 17. He served aboard the U.S. Ransom Minesweeper that was the first ship into Hiroshima after the Atomic Bomb.
Survivors include his wife, Muriel M. LaDuke; three sons, Gary R. LaDuke (Linda Morgan), Terry L. LaDuke (Melissa) and Timothy M. LaDuke; brother, Jim LaDuke; two sisters, Madelyn Byrn and Mary Ann Brown (Bob); two grandchildren, Brian and Tyler LaDuke; and two special family Retrievers, Missi and Tara.
A funeral service celebrating Bob's life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville (1846 E. Oak St.) with burial in Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Friday.
