Ronald Cassell Obituary
Ronald was born in Louisville on September 20, 1952. He moved to San Jose in 1977. Ron received his doctorate from Vanderbilt University in 1979.
He spent 35 years working at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center as a physicist.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Elizabeth Puttock Cassell; children, Bryan Cassell (Anne) and Elizabeth Chatman (Kyle); stepchildren, Stephanie Wilde and Tyler Wilde; parents, Guy and Wanda Cassell; brother, Guy Cassell III (Debbie), of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Denise Lemmel (Dale), of Lanesville, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday April 14, 2012 at Briargate Presbyterian Church 2100 Upper Hunters Trace. The Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the Stanford Stroke Center.
