HARRIS, SHERMAN L., 74, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at his residence with family at his side.
Sherman was born in Sample, KY, to the late Henry F. and Velma E. Wardrip Harris. He was a retired production scheduler for Northern Indiana Brass Company, where he had over 38 years of service and was a member of Hikes Point Christian Church.
Preceding him in death, other than his parents, was a brother, Jimmy Harris and a sister, Beulah Gardner.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Porritt Harris; a son, Terry R. Harris; daughters, Robin Caine (Tim) and Lisa Prater (Greg); brothers, Henry F. Harris, Jr. (Margie) and Eugene Harris (Faye); sisters, Betty Burke and Carol Harris; granddaughters, Heather Prater, Sarah Caine and Stephanie Hunt (Mike), as well as his great-grandchildren, Gregory Michael and Zachary Paul Hunt.
His funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
