STOUT, SYLVIA ANN CLARY, 64, passed away on March 31, 2013 at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston, TX.
She was born November 22, 1948 in Louisville, KY, to James and Mary Priddy Clary.
Sylvia grew up in Louisville, KY. She attended Indiana University where she received her degree in Nursing on May 10, 1979. She was the President and Valedictorian of her class. She worked for Jewish Hospital where she retired after 30 years of dedicated service. She then continued nursing in Florida for Hospice and was Vice President of the home owner's association.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Clary; and daughter, Sylvia Lee Cole.
Sylvia is survived by her spouse, Larry of Navarra, FL; her daughters, Laura (Scott) Hudler of Houston, TX, and Barbara Thompson of Houston, TX; son, James Green of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Mandy) Sims, Chase Thompson, Maria Sims, Kristina Thompson, Anthony Green, and Cody Reid; great-grandchildren, Mailee Sims, Cameron Sims and Weston Cox; three stepchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Dr. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service on Sunday.
