ELIZABETH - Fitzgerald, Thomas Lawrence "Tom," 64, of Elizabeth, IN, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home.

He was a native of Louisville, KY. Tom was owner / operator of Kline Cash Register Co. He was a member of the Flaget Alumni Association, St. Peter's Catholic Church, Elizabeth, IN where he was involved in the men's club. He was a former member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Louisville, KY. He was also an adoptive father and friend to many foreign exchange students and their family, from all over the world.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Angeline M. Fitzgerald; and grandson, Anthony D. Fitzgerald.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbra L. Fitzgerald (Adkins); three sons, Stephen Francis Fitzgerald (Allison Ducra), Clarksville, IN, Daniel William Fitzgerald (Jennifer Kelty) - Louisville, KY, and Master Sgt. David Thomas Fitzgerald (Amanda Weston) - USAF, Turkey; three brothers, Patrick J. Fitzgerald (Jean), Bloomington, IN, Daniel J. Fitzgerald (Karen), Georgetown, IN, and Michael F. Fitzgerald (Diane), New Albany, IN; one sister, Mary Anne Veltman (Jim), Louisville, KY; five grandchildren, Virginia Colleen, Samantha S., Sydney A., Evelyn M., William E., and Father - Dr. F.J. Fitzgerald (Lorraine), Ocala, FL.

Visitation: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes. Rosary Service: 7 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Elizabeth, IN. Interment: St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery.
