William Clark Obituary

Clark, William Russell,

95, passed away Tuesday June 7, 2016 at Norton Hosparus Downtown.

Born in Axtel, Ky, he was the owner operator of Bill Clark Heating and Air which he started in 1962. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Grace Crossing Christian Missionary Alliance Church, a part time farmer, golfer, sponsor of softball teams and a avid U of L fan. He volunteered his time and resources to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Meals on Wheels and Southwest Ministries.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years Kathryn (Mattingly) Clark, parents Charles and Ada Mae Clark and the last of fourteen brothers and sisters.

His survivors include his children, Brenda Clark Knochenmus (Kerry), Sharon Clark Bryson (Edwin) and Timothy Clark (Leah Dees); five grandchildren, Kathryn Knochenmus Swafford (Carl ), Kevin Knochenmus (Amy Lusk), Amanda Clark Dingley (Marc), Emily Clark Howell (Luke), Anna Bryson and seven great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be 11 am Friday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial at Cave Spring Cemetery Breckinridge County, KY. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
