RIDGWAY, LUCILLE LAY LOWREY, 96, widow of Sam H. Ridgway, died November 19, 2008 at the Charleston Health Care Center in Danville, KY. Born in 1912 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lola Lay. Until recently, Mrs. Ridgway lived in Louisville where she was a devoted member of the Crescent Hill Baptist Church and former board member of the local Goodwill Industries International. She was preceded in death by a son, George Lowrey; and a grandson, William Mack Jackson Jr. Mrs. Ridgway is survived by a daughter, Gerry Lowrey Jackson, Danville; a son, Dr. Michael Eugene Lowrey (Sally), Ft. Myers, FL; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church of Danville, 500 West Main St., and will be conducted by the Reverends Jim Stewart and William Johnson. A reception at the church and burial at Springhill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, will immediately follow. Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
