Jimmie Ledford was an amazing woman. She could make people believe in themselves, she was a friend to so many, she was a lifelong Bible student, she loved her Lord, and she prayed for so many. In her last years, she fretted over not being able to "do for" people when they had a need. She would tell them that all she could do was pray for them, then would quickly rephrase her statement...and would tell them that the BEST thing she could do was to JUST pray for them, and let God do the "DOING FOR". She was so much to so many, but to me she was my best friend and my MOTHER. She is sitting at the feet of Jesus right now, at rest and at peace.

My mother lived with me and my husband, Michael Zavada, for the last two years of her life. To the end of her days, she prayed faithfully and served her Lord. She was a wonderful mother/grandmother/mother-in-lawto her five children and their families, and although we had to share her with hundreds and thousands of others, she was a beacon to all of us. We will miss her. I look forward to seeing her "on the flip side", my flippant parting words on the last morning that I saw her. I wish that I had told her instead that I loved her dearly.

John and Family, Mrs Ledford was one of the most special people I have ever known. When things weren't going well at school you talked to Mr's Ledford because she always had words of great wisdom. I always felt good after a talk with her. She touched so many lives that way.She was the rock of Beth Haven Christian.
We will all miss her kindness and strength. God couldn't wait any longer, he wanted her back.
God bless you all.

I met and visited with Mrs. Ledford a few times these past years, while visiting the Froman family. She was a wonderful example of a godly woman and prayer warrior. My sympathy to her family.

My sincere sympathies and prayers are with the Ledford family. Mrs, Ledford was one of the dearest people God put on this earth. She had a definite calling to work with young people. She mentored and helped more youngsters than you will ever know. I'm sure she has a special spot in Heaven. And a few extra stars in her crown as she was truly a servant of God.
Rest in sweet peace Mrs. Ledford!

I grew up across the street from the Ledford family, and have warm memories of both Jimmie and her husband. Mr Ledford came to funeral home when my own mother passed away years ago, and was so very kind. My sincere and deepest sympathy to all of the Ledford family, and I know you mother will be deeply missed.

Jimmie was a sweet, supportive Christian woman that helped so many of us through life's issues through her fervent prayers. She had such a joyful spirit always, but was no nonsense about her Lord! I am a better person for haveing known her.

John and family: There are few things that can be said about your dear Mother that you all wouldn't already know about her. We all know that Mrs. Ledford was "one of a kind", a true creation by God's own hand. When God created her, He must have thought to Himself...I really outdid Myself today. It didn't matter how much time had gone by since I had seen your Mom, we just picked up right where we left off. I was so proud to call her my friend and so blessed that she called me hers. She had an incredible memory and didn't forget anything no matter how many years (or decades) had gone by. She was so influential in my life during HS and even beyond when I knew she prayed for me, loved me and always wanted God's best for me. I was so happy to be part of her BH family, and I like to think I am a better person because of knowing her. Her influence reaches far and wide and it will not be known this side of Heaven just how much she did impact so many lives. One of my proudest moments was when she asked that I read her tribute to Coach Bailey at the gym dedication for him and Sarah. The privilege of reading her words meant more than she or any one else will ever know. She. again, had blessed my life in a simple yet so meaningful way. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. May God bless you richly as you remember the many wonderful times you each shared with her.

To the Family of Mrs. Ledford,
My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you.
Mrs. Ledford has been such a blessing in my life, not only as I was a student at BHCS, but as we kept in touch throughout my adult life as well. She always had words of wisdom and encouragement and the promise that she was praying for me every day.
She often told me how proud she was of each of you - as I know you were of her.

I was very fortunate to have Mrs. Ledford as my friend. She was a blessing to so many, especially my family. She could make you laugh so easily and make you cry just the same with how she knew the exact words I needed to hear. What set her apart from so many was how she listened to our daily issues and worries and burdens. I guess the best thing was she had time for me. To a young man searching to find his place in this world, that was amazing.
Another amazing thing was how often her office had a waiting list for the day. It was as if Beth Haven had their own celebrity because we all wanted to talk to her, to listen to her and to be in her presence. Sometime I just wanted to get out of class and it was a wonderful excuse to sit in and get pearls of wisdom! Now, I am looking for 10 more minutes with her when I still have issues. I know many of the former Bearcats and Beth haven Church members feel the same. I am not alone.
To the Ledford family: Thank you for sharing Mrs Ledford with so many people. She was in the "amazing buisness".

May God grant you peace and comfort in the loss of your blessed Mother. Anyone who ever met Jimmie loved and respected her. She was a mentor and pray warrior for so many. I was honored to sit under her teaching (Beth Haven Sunday School) and my children were mentored under her at school. She will be missed, but no one would wish to call her back from her heavenly home. I can only imagine her joy and worship as she sees Christ.

To the family of Mrs. Ledford,
Our deepest prayers go to you as we miss the loving kindness and generosity of Mrs. Ledford. My years at Beth Haven Christian School were greatly influenced by her remarkable compassion and wisdom from the Lord. God used her magnificently in all of our lives. We truly treasure those memories!

John and all the family,
I can't begin to express what a blessing your mother was in my life. She encouraged, admonished, edified, and, because I was at your house so much, at times disciplined me as well! I am grateful for her influence at that time, but even more for her influence throughout my life through her prayers and active interest in seeing God's will in my life. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
I am praying for you all daily and will continue to do so.
Thank you for sharing your mother with me, and so many others.

Mrs. Ledford was always an inspiration to me. Many, many times, during my high school years I found comfort in her words, and her spirituality. She truely cared for everyone she came in contact with, and I'll treasure my memories of her. I am sorry I have to leave town on business today and can't attend, but my prayers and thoughts go out to my old ffriend John, and the rest of her family.

For those of us who were blessed to know and love Mrs. Ledford, there will never be another. Her laugh would fill the room, her love was unconditional, and her gift to us all was grace and peace. For years I've had a prayer warrior, now I have another angel watching over me. The memories of her will live on in our hearts forever. Thank you to her family for sharing her with us for these many years.
