EISENMENGER, STANLEY JOSEPH JR., 86, formerly of Louisville, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on February 6, 1927 in Louisville to the late Stanley J. and Nellie Miles Eisenmenger Sr. Stanley served our country in the U.S Navy during World War II, during which he was stationed on the LST 745 in the South Pacific. He retired from Westinghouse Elevator Company, and was a member of the American Legion Post #0229.
Stanley was loved by everyone he met. He was known as a great handyman; there was nothing he couldn't fix, he loved to tell jokes and make people smile. Most of all he was known as a loving family man, he was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.
His wife of 59 years, Betty Jane Eisenmenger has preceded him in death.
Left to carry on his memory are his children, Stanley J. Eisenmenger III (Donna), Madonna Smothers (Gary), Cathy McMasters, Mark Eisenmenger (Angela) and Janet Schweinhart (Kevin); his sister, Helen Woods; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday October 3, 2013 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 155 Stringer Lane, Mt Washington KY, with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8p.m. Wednesday October 2, 2013 at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville.
