SPEIGHT, JANIS BELMAR, 64, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014.

She was a member of New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, and a retired employee from the University of Louisville.

She is survived by her children, Donald R. Jr., and Tonya Speight, Kendra Speight -Redd (James); sibling, Doris J., Ellsworth J., Frank H. (Ella), Lester R. Sr., (Petronia) and Barbara Belmar, Joyce Ann Cosby, Juanita Ingram, and Triella Stallings; 11 grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation: 6-9 p.m. Tuesday A. D. Porter & Sons, 1300 W. Chestnut St. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at her church, 3344 Oleanda with the burial in Louisville Cemetery.
