Martha Jane Thompson Woodard Obituary
WOODARD, MARTHA JANE THOMPSON, 89, born in Loretto, KY, in 1924, and passed away in Louisville, February 20, 2014 while at Baptist Hospital East.

She was a former owner of Commodore Beauty Salon, former member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and Choir, a member of St. Pius X Church, the St. Pius X Resurrection Choir, and the Silver Notes. She loved being with people, sewing, singing, and playing Bridge.

She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Joseph Caldwell; and her husband of 38 years, John Woodard; also preceding her in death were her four brothers, Paul, Pat, Mike Thompson and Nick Bickett of Loretto, KY; one son, Joseph H. Caldwell; and one grandson, Joseph W. Caldwell.

She is survived by a loving sister, Rosella Battcher; one son, William T. Caldwell (Darlene); three grandchildren, Brad Caldwell (Leigh Anne), Cynthia Caldwell, Angela Nagler; stepdaughter, Sue Rhea; stepdaughter-in-law, Christine Woodard; three great-grandchildren, Cody Schaefer, Will and Harrison Nagler; six stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Funeral service: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Church, 3521 Goldsmith Lane. A graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. on Monday at St. Francis of Assisi in Loretto. Visitation: 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to either the Joseph Caldwell Scholarship Fund at Trinity High School or the Healing Place.
