Winston D. Krebs Obituary
KREBS, WINSTON D., 79, born September 2, 1934, went to join his heavenly Father on Friday, February 21, 2014. He had a broken heart after the death of his beloved Lola, from which he never recovered. He went peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, who will dearly miss him. You are now at peace with Momma and Jesus in heaven.

Winston was a Christian by faith and knew the power of God's love and miracles when his only son was diagnosed with cancer in 1974 and survived.

Winston was a Specialist four in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a Master Tile Setter by trade for over 37 years and was an avid horse racing and U of L fan.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lola Krebs; his sons-in-law, Ronnie Simpson, Bernie Cecil and Denny Burns; and his two adorable dogs, BJ and Daisy.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Linda Simpson, Sandy Burns, Sheila Elliott (Ricky), Karen Kraemer (Steve), LaDonna Cecil (Louie) and Joe Krebs (Barbara); his grandchildren, Shelley Jones (Jonathan), Ron Simpson (Jennifer), Kerri Blair (Eddie), Kim Searcy (Mike), Kelly Kraemer, Joseph Cecil, Jackie and Josh Krebs; and his great-grandchildren, Cassie and JonJon Jones, Ronnie Simpson, Kalli, Casey and Jaylen Blair, Jordyn and Austin Searcy and Kaleb Klein.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Church of the Ascension, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues.

We wish to thank the caring staff of the Inpatient Unit at Hosparus for the great and loving care that Daddy received while there.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hosparus in Daddy's name.
