She was a retired 27-year employee of the State of Kentucky Transportation Department in Frankfort, and formerly worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Louisville. A former resident of Bethlehem, KY, in Henry County, she is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Eugene Moore of Louisville.

Margie was a proud Catholic graduate of Ursuline Academy of the Immaculate Conception in Louisville, a longtime volunteer with the Henry County Athletic Boosters, and frequent Red Cross donor. She enjoyed cooking, University of Louisville basketball, and was an avid reader. More than anything she dearly loved her husband, her four boys, her daughters-in-law, and her grandchildren.

Surviving family members include two sons, Timothy Lee Fentress (Mary), Louisville and Lantz George Moore (Carol), Portland, OR; one stepson, Dennis Patrick Moore, Apopka, FL; one brother, Ernest Robert Grubb (Marilyn), Louisville; four grandchildren, Lauren Quinn Fentress Payton (Bryan), Port Royal, KY, Anna Christine Fentress, Louisville, James Lee Fentress, Louisville; and Kaitlyn Marie Fentress, Louisville; and daughter-in-law Leanne Malin Yancey (Thomas).

She was preceded in death by one son, James Richard Fentress; two sisters, Doris Ann Grubb Kley and Bettie Louis Grubb Smith; one brother, David Edward Grubb; and one granddaughter, Sara Beth Fentress.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Prewitt Funeral Home in New Castle. Visitation will be 5-8:30pm with a brief service at 8:30 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kosair Children's Hospital Foundation of Louisville.
