Norbert William "Norb" Kremer Sr.

KREMER, NORBERT WILLIAM "NORB" SR., 91, of Louisville, joined his heavenly father on April 6, 2014.

He was born March 24, 1923. He graduated from Manual High School. Norb was an Army veteran who served in Germany during World War II.

His early professional career included sales positions at DuBois Chemicals and Intercontinental Chemical. He was also a retired co-owner of Drive-Thru Food Mart which was located on Cawein Way in Hikes Point.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Starks Kremer; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

He is survived by his five children, Norbert "Bert" Kremer, Jr., (Sylvia), Stuart Kremer (Marian) of Bardstown, KY, Joyce Hancock of Lizella, GA., Pamela Nuss and Greg Kremer (Tina); his sister-in-law, Mona "MC" Ussery; 23 grandchildren and spouses; and 28 great-grandchildren.

His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3042 Hikes Lane, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Eastern Star Home of Kentucky for their loving care of Norb.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Barnabas Catholic Church or the donor's favorite charity.
