COOTS, DEWEY HAROLD, 76, of Louisville, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Kindred Hospital.

A native of Morgantown, KY he was born May 13, 1937 to the late Harrison & Agnes Henderson Coots. He was a retired welder for Louisville Gas & Electric a member of the Banock Masonice Lodge #824, Scottish Rite, Kosair Shrine, and Larchmont Church of God.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Coots.

He is survived by his wife, the former Audrey Stanley; children, Julie Hardin, Harold Coots (Selina), Christine Hash, and Tony Hash (Tina); brothers, Eddie Coots and Huey Coots (Vida); sisters, Wilma Allen (Harlan), Linda Flener (Dale), and Diana Reese; grandchildren, Joshua and Jason Hardin, Samantha and Noah Coots; and great-grandchildren, Mikey Hardin and Ava Coots.

A celebration of Mr. Coots life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in the Hill Haven Memorial Cemetery in Morgantown. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday.
