JOHNSON, JAMES ROBERT "J.R." "BOB," 83 of Shepherdsville, KY was born September 5, 1930 to the late Clarence Leonard and Evelyn Meadows Johnson and returned to his Heavenly Father May 9, 2014.

Mr. Johnson was a member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church, retired employee of American Synthetic Rubber Company, a mason and a veteran of the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force.

Among those who preceded him in death include a son, Robert Bryan Johnson; brother, Keith Johnson and his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Jean Branham Johnson; children, Diane French (Jay), Michael Wayne Johnson (Nancy) and Donna Gail Oakes (Terry); sister, JoAnn Johnston; brother, Norman Johnson; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12 P.M. Tuesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road and use John Harper entrance) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their resects from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday at Schoppenhorst.
