Theresa Lynn Brennan Obituary
BRENNAN, THERESA LYNN, passed away at her home on May 13, 2014 at the age of 60.

She slipped quietly away from the loving vigil of her sisters, Nancy Brennan and Christine Hagy, and brother Brian Brennan. Her dear friends and nieces cared for her during the final week of her ten-month struggle with advanced lung cancer.

She was born March 1, 1954 in Aiken, SC and spent most of her youth in Westbury, NY, sixth among eleven children of Florence Thorson Brennan and Dr. Bernard F. Brennan.

As a 1979 C.W. Post College graduate, her prodigious ability in seven languages and degree in Romance Languages and Literature allowed her careers in the hotel and airline sectors, touching many with her resourceful dedication and personal sensitivity.

A resident of Louisville, Kentucky for the past nine years, her vast experience in customer service made her a well-loved eyewear consultant at Visionworks Doctors of Optometry on Breckenridge Lane.

Theresa is predeceased by her mother Florence Thorson Brennan and sister Constance Louise Brennan.

She is deeply mourned by her father, Dr. Bernard F. Brennan; her five sisters, Barbara, Elizabeth, Maureen, Christine, and Nancy; and her four brothers, Bernard, Michael, Patrick, and Brian. She is survived by her 21 cherished nieces and nephews and nine grand nieces.

Her friends and family will gather at Ratterman's Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, "In St. Matthews" on Thursday from 11-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. As a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary's on Shelbyville Road, a Funeral Mass on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. is planned.

On Sunday, May 18, 2014, she will be remembered with her family at Donahue Cecere Funeral Home on Post Avenue in Westbury, NY; viewing hours from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. There is a mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury Long Island on Monday, May 19, 2014.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in her honor to the Shamrock Pet Foundation or The Arrow Fund.
