COX'S CREEK - Spalding, Arthur Bryan, 73, died Friday May 23, 2014 in Louisville.

He was born December 9, 1940 in Cox's Creek, retired from Rohm & Haas Chemical Co., an Air Force Veteran, police officer in Lexington for seven years, and a member of St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Leo and Frances H. Spalding; sister, Emogene Spalding, and brother, Charles Stephen Spalding.

He is survived by three children, Art Spalding of Cox's Creek, Renee Spalding, and Scott Spalding both of Mooresville, NC; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six sisters; and four brothers; and longtime friend Debby Achor of Louisville..

His funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, with burial in St. Gregory Cemetery. Rev. Paul Eve will officiate. Visitation will be 3 - 8 pm Tuesday and 9 - 10:15 am Wednesday at Barlow Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to .
