SCHWEICKART, JAMES R., 93, of Louisville, passed away on Friday May 23, 2014.

He was an Army Veteran during WWII, and he was a carpet salesman for Benjamin's and Kinnard and Franke.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Angela Schweickart; his first wife, Charlene; three brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Schweickart; sons, Bernie Schweickart (Joyce) and Ron Schweickart (Sandee); daughter, Janice Straw (Jim); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Midge Payne.

Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday May 27th, at Little Sisters of the Poor, 15 Audubon Plaza Dr., Louisville, KY 40217. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements: Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown.
