Ryann Marie Tewell Obituary
TEWELL, RYANN MARIE, 24, of Louisville passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours on Thursday, June 12, 2014.

She was born February 5, 1990 in Louisville, the daughter of Charles D. Tewell and Melinda D. (Crider) Tewell and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she attended grade school.

Ryann was a 2008 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, attended The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA on an athletic scholarship in gymnastics. Ryann transferred to and was a proud alumnus of Bellarmine University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2012 with her bachelor's in economics and business administration.

Ryann was a financial analyst at Humana and previously worked in finance at General Electric, where she had many valued friendships.

Ryann was a member of Champion Gymnastics through 2008, where she was a seven-time Kentucky State Gymnastics Champion. Ryann had an incredible sense of humor, an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile. Ryann was very health conscious and was an avid runner. She had a tremendous work ethic and was very goal oriented. She enjoyed life and will be missed by us all.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John T. Crider and paternal grandparents, Fred B. and Helen (Wheeler) Tewell.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her best friend and brother, Matthew Tewell; maternal grandmother, Sandra "Sandy" Crider; aunts and uncles, Fred (Sandi) Tewell of Fairfax, VA, Denny (Jean) Tewell of Southlake, TX, Cathy (Marty) Minogue, Patti (Jack) Holzknecht, Marti Tewell, Todd Crider, Lee (Lisa) Crider, Cassie Gregory, all of Louisville, and many loving cousins and dear friends.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road and she will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.
